Humiform™ Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Question: How often do I refill reservoir?
Answer: Refills are needed about every 6 to 10 months, depending on the volume of the unit you purchased, and other factors such as quantity and dryness of the cigars being stored. It is important that the filament not be allowed to dry out, as this tends to severely reduce the filament's ability to generate water vapor.

Question: Would you please inform me on how it operates?
Answer: Distilled water is drawn from the reservoir through the filament and emitted as water vapor above the cigars. The bow-tie loop tees to the left and right to provide uniform water vapor release. Increasing the amount of exposed filament increases the amount of water vapor - and resulting relative humidity.

Question: What product do you recommend to use to prevent mold and mildew?
Answer: Due to the extended time between refills, it's suggested a preservative, such as a 50:50 blend of Propylene Glycol and distilled water, be added to prevent mold growth. There are also some pre-mixed solutions, such as https://www.neptunecigar.com/humidifiers/8-oz-activation-solution-for-humidors and https://www.cheaphumidors.com/products/cigar-humidor-activator-solution that work well. Please note that plume (a.k.a. bloom) may form on the filament that can be left in place or removed using a dry paper towel or tissue.
